Subsequent to my recent post and our realisation and acceptance that
long hikes are no longer all that enjoyable with the girls, we decided
to try our first kid-friendly hike. We chose Troll Falls, which is
located near the base of Mt. Norquay in Kananaskis. Meredith kept a
running commentary about the darkness of the forest and asking questions
about everything from the flowers to the mosquitoes. She did
pretty well and we only had to carry her for 10 minutes of the 4 km
hike. Charlotte enjoyed her ride in the backpack and overall I would have to say it was a success. Let's hope we'll have enough time to try it again later this summer :)
