Busy Day

Saturday was a busy day for Meredith. She and John went swimming in the morning and then after lunch and a nap we decided to make a trip to Cochrane for some ice cream. John didn't believe me that Merrie would eat an entire scoop on her own, but she pretty much did. To burn off some energy we found a playground nearby and Merrie and Dad had fun going down the slides. When we got back into the city we decided to try a family dinner at Swiss Chalet. It had been at least 8 months since we'd taken Merrie out to a restaurant, mostly because she's such a picky eater and Mom doesn't want to deal with the stress of it. We actually had quite a nice time, Merrie ate 2 buns and a few pieces of corn (and the emergency cookie that Mom brought). She won't touch a fry though - seriously, what toddler won't eat fries!? ;)
