Meredith: Mom, did you fix my necklace?
Me: Yes, I did.
Meredith: Daddy does most of the fixing around the house.
Me (feeling slightly affronted): Yes, he does, but I can fix things too.
Meredith: Mom, we all have specialties. For example, Daddy can cook, but you are a great cook and you do most of the cooking. You see, you can fix things, but Daddy is better and should do most of the fixing.
